Part 1: Make the 3D Planet

The materials we use to make the planet is air-dry clay. Your child can get some inspiration from the video about  10 Strangest Planets In Space

Step 1: Pick 2 clay colours out of 5 available colours

  • 2 PIC/PTC will distribute 2 colours of the air-dry clay to each JD. JD can exchange the colour clay with other JD within 1 min (to encourage the spirit of communicating)

Step 2:Mix the 2 clay in 3 simple options:-

20160808_165430[1]   Mix 2 clay with the same colour to create a bigger sphere

20160808_165317[1]  Mix 2 clay with different colour quickly to create 2 colours on the sphere

20160808_165528[1]  Mix 2 clay with different colour gradually and evenly to create 1 single colour on the sphere

Part 2: Make the Galaxy Base

Step 1: Choose a galaxy base from either gold or silver

  • 2 PIC/PTC will distribute 1 galaxy base to each JD

Step 2: Choose the Statement “My Dream Planet” from 2 designs

  • 1 PIC/PTC will distribute 1 statement to each JD

Step 3: Choose the Statement “The Characteristics of My Planet” from 2 designs

  • 1 PIC/PTC will distribute 1 statement to each JD

Step 4: Fill up the statements from Step 2 & 3 and glue them on the galaxy base you chose from Step 1

Step 5: Glue the planet on the galaxy base from Step 4

  • 1 PIC/PTC will help to stick the planet with double-sided tape onto the galaxy base

Step 6: Add stars around your galaxy 

  • JD can add “stars” around their planet if they want to (to kill time while waiting for those who had not finished)
